Cool T Shirts

COOL

Fashionable and attractive at the time. As in "he's a cool dude" or "that’s cool". Cool is an especially cool slang word, most notably among young people. Cool can be used to describe composure and absence of excitement in a person and is often used to express agreement or assent. Cool is an attitude widely adopted by artists, who aided its infiltration into popular culture. Sought by product marketing firms, idealized by teenagers, "cool" has become a global phenomenon that has spread all over the world. Synonyms of cool include Assured, Composed, Coolheaded, Self-Controlled and Unflappable.

T

T is the 20th letter of the alphabet and is a consonant and can also mean any spoken sound represented by the letter t. Can also be used as in "That suits you to a T" (or to a tee - which is also used in the past time of golf). You can also drink tee except it is spelt tea.

SHIRTS

In American English shirts can refer to almost any upper body garment other than coats (the term "top" is often used in ladies wear. In British English a shirt is more specifically a garment with a collar, cuffs and a vertical opening with buttons, which is what is know as a "dress shirt" in American English. A "Camp shirt" is a loose, straight cut, short sleeved shirt or blouse with a simple placket front opening and a "camp" collar. T-shirt are casual shirts without a collar or buttons, usually a short-sleeved. It is a common shirt for casual or informal events. A guayabera is an embroidered dress shirt with four pockets, ringer t-shirts are a tee with a separate piece of fabric sewn on as the collar and sleeve hems whereas a half shirt is a high hemmed t-shirt. An A-Shirt (or construction shirt or singlet) is essentially a sleeveless t-shirt with large armholes and a large neck hole, often worn by labourers or athletes for increased movability and is sometimes called a "wife-beater" when worn on its own without another top. A shirt is essentially a garment for the upper part of the body, typically with a collar and sleeves. A Camisole is a women's undershirt with thin straps, or a similar top worn alone and is also referred to as a cami, shelf top or strappy top. Polo shirts (or golf shirt) are a V-neck shirt with full collar, an opening with buttons or a zipper running part way down the front. Can be long or short sleeved and is sometimes embroidered with a club or designer insignia. A Henley Shirt is a collarless Polo shirt. Rugby shirts aretypically a rugged long-sleeved Polo shirt made or thick cotton or wool whereas a Baseball shirt is distinguished by a three quarters sleeve, a team insignia and a flat waist seam. Sweatshirts are long-sleeved athletic shirts of heavier material with or without a hood. Tunics are primitive shirts that are distinguished by a two piece construction, initially a men's garment it is usually now worn only by women. A sleeveless shirt contains only a neck, bottom hem, body and shoulders. A Halter top is a women's shirt which is shoulder less and sleeveless and is analogous to an apron with a string around the back of the neck and across the lower back holding it in place. A Tube Top (American English) or a Boob Tube (British English) is a shoulder less, sleeveless "tube" that wraps the torso, not reaching higher than the armpits and staying in place by elasticity or by a single strap that is attached to the front of the tube. Tops that are not considered to be tops include a Diaper Shirt (for infants which include a long back that is wrapped between the legs and buttoned to the front of the shirt) and sweaters which are heavy knitted garments.

T SHIRTS

T shirts are short-sleeved, collarless undershirts, lightweight, usually knitted, pullover shirts, close fitting and with a round neckline and short sleeves, worn as an undershirt or outer garment. T shirts (or tee shirt) are shirts, usually buttonless, collarless, and pocket less, with a round neck and mostly (but not necessarily) short sleeves, that are pulled on over the head and covers most of a person's torso. The sleeves of T shirts extend at least slightly over the shoulder but not completely over the elbow (in short-sleeve version). A shirt that is either longer or shorter than this ceases to be T shirts. T shirts are typically made of cotton or polyester fibres (or a mix of the two), knitted together in a jersey stitch that gives a T shirt its distinctive soft texture. T shirts are often decorated with text and/or pictures, sometimes used to advertise. T shirt fashions include styles for men and women, and for all age groups, including baby, youth and adult sizes. The origin of the name is uncertain: many refer to the shape of the shirt as a "T", while it could also emphasize the use of the army as a "training shirt". The shape-based theory is supported by the existence of an A-shirt in the 1930s USA, which was the usual undershirt later labelled the tank top. It is also a possibility that the name "tee" comes from amputee, a reference to the shortened length of the arms. T shirts were originally worn as undershirts. This still occurs, but T-shirts are now also frequently worn as the only piece of clothing on the top half of the body. T shirts have also become a medium for self-expression and advertising. T shirts typically extends to the waist, although one fashion is for "oversized" T shirts, namely in modern hip hop fashion. A more recent trend in women's clothing involves tight-fitting "cropped" T shirts that are short enough to reveal the midriff. Another popular trend is wearing a "long-sleeved T shirt", then putting a short sleeved T shirts of a different colour over the long sleeved shirt. This is known as "layering". In the 1960s, the Ringer t-shirt appeared and became a staple fashion for youth and rock-n-rollers. The decade also saw the emergence of tie-dyeing and screen printing on basic T shirts. In 1959, plastisol, a more durable and stretchable ink, was invented, allowing much more variety in t-shirt designs. The most common form of commercial t shirt decoration is screen-printing. In screen-printing, a design is separated into individual colors. Plastisol or water based inks are applied to the shirt through mesh screens which limits the areas where ink is deposited. In most commercial T shirt printing, the specific colors in the design are used. To achieve a wider colour spectrum with a limited number of colors, process printing (using only cyan, magenta, yellow and black ink) or simulated process (using only white, black, red, green, blue, and gold ink) is effective. Process printing is best suited for light colored shirts. Simulated process is best suited for dark colored shirts. Other methods of decoration used on T shirts include airbrush, appliqué, embroidery, impressing or embossing and the ironing on of either flock lettering, heat transfers, or dye sublimation transfers. Laser printers are capable of printing on plain paper using a special toner containing sublimation dyes which can then be permanently heat-transferred to T shirts. Since the late 1980s and especially the 1990s, T shirts with prominent designer-name logos have been popular, especially with teenagers and young adults. These garments allowed consumers to flaunt their taste in designer brands in an inexpensive way, in addition to being decorative.
